La Cantina is a very traditional Italian restaurant. It is known as the "Best Italian restaurant in Montreal" and therefore it came to us as no surprise that our entire dining experience was exquisite. When you go to La Cantina you can not only expect some delicious traditional food but you can also expect a great service. The waiters are all very welcoming, comedic and know just how to serve you so that they do not seem too over-bearing. They have many options for different types of pasta, meat and sea food, all of which are made perfectly. We had no problems with any of our dishes, the service was quick and efficient and the overall ambience was also very nice. The restaurant is decorated to suit its theme perfectly. The one dish which we preferred the least was the spaghetti with mushrooms because it was the only dish that seemed to be missing some sort of freshness. All the other dishes were very tasteful.
